Good news. Australian Platypus Monitoring Network results are in for Seven Creeks on the Strathbogie Tableland. Near Strathbogie Township has yielded the highest sighting frequency of platypus for Victoria (0.6). This population was feared to have declined severely during the millennium drought, but now appears to be doing well (at least in the upper reaches of this special waterway).
