This post is a bit of a teaser for a new walk coming to natureview soon. There were a lot of things I enjoyed about this walk, but the highlight was definitely the time had observing and following a family flock of Grey-crowned Babblers from tree to tree. It was an entertaining close encounter that lasted over half an hour. What a bunch of characters! They were constantly busy and interacting with each other over where to go and what to do next. There was at least one highly demanding, maturing fledgling being well catered for (I think two, but it was hard to tell with all the ducking, darting and diving going on). Unfortunately, the photos of the feeding process aren’t great, but they give an idea of the very demanding offspring.
