Most of the Strathbogie Tableland received between 130 and 170 mm of rain in the first days of December, 2017. Most of that fell on Saturday and overnight – the streams rose quickly. By Sunday morning the peak had already passed (on the Tableland) and was heading towards Euroa, but not before causing substantial damage to several roads. Though not as extreme as the Sept. 2010 flooding (see pics here for comparison), this event was a little bigger than the relatively minor June 2016 flooding.

Below the confluence of Spring Ck and Seven Creeks, the Sevens flows on a gentle grade towards Polly McQuinn’s reservoir. We walked this reach of the Sevens a few years ago – see the pics here.
