Many of the scenic attractions in the Strathbogie Ranges are tucked away on private land.

Joining a day walk hosted by local landcare and CMN members is the best way of gaining access to these wonderful sites. Regular groups you can join are the Highlands Ramblers and the Ruffy Weekend Walkers. In Strathbogie Bert hosts bird watching and wildflower walks .  Besides this website the best ways to keep in touch with the walking groups is via the local newsletters such as the Tableland Talk and the Granite News. The Shepparton Adventure Club recently came to Ruffy for a workout on our steep hills and rocky outcrops. Melbourne Bushwalkers and Rogaining Victoria often visit the ranges .
