Flat Spider found under flat rock at wallaby Gully

Flat rock spiders are very common in the granite of the Strathbogie Ranges. They live in tiny crevices or under sheets of exfoliated rock. Their body shade is odd , it looks like they have been squashed with a rolling pin . Their eggs sacs are equally flat .

Carefully lift rock slabs when searching for creatures, tilt the slab with the opening away from you (in case something surprising heaps out) and carefully replace the rock to avoid squashing the inhabitats.
