Pig shot near Boho last month

The back end of the 40kg pregnant sow .

Wild pigs are invading the bush and pine plantations between Boho South and Warrenbayne .

This  pregnant sow was shoot  in the area last month. The interesting feature  of this pig was that her ears were missing. This points to the fact that she has been caught by hunting dogs in the past. Feral pigs can cause immense damage to the natural environment , especially in our delicate wetlands where they wallow and root around in the soil. It would be horrifying if some brainless pig hunters were catching pigs elsewhere and releasing them into the Strathbogie Ranges  for  easy sport hunting.
