Common Froglet Crinia signifera
This tiny frog was swimming at the edg of our largest dam , I think it must have recently metamorphosed from a tadpole.
Metamorphlings are difficult to identify but I think it is a common Froglet which is one of Victoria’s most common and widespread species.
The call is a series of three to five short pulsed calls , with a chirping quality rapidly repeated in a long series – crick crick crick crick crik .
